prophragmal muscle that arises laterally of the site of origin of the median pronoto-prophragmal and medially of the site of origin of the
lateral pronoto-postoccipital muscles.

Relationships / properties:
When present, the lateral pronoto-prophragmal muscle is attached to the cuticle. When present, the lateral pronoto-prophragmal muscle is attached to the first phragma. When present, the lateral pronoto-prophragmal muscle is attached to the pronotum.
