The dorsal premental adductors arise on the anterior tentorial arms, usually posterior to the ventral adductors; they usually insert on the distal ends of the hypopharyngeal rods or on the proximo-dorsal corners of the anterior glossal sclerites, lateral to the distal opening of the salivarium.
